NYC school’s Chancellor Joel Klein seems to like the military at lot. He has just introduced a new policy about turning the names of high school students over to military recruiters. Recruiters used to have to go to each school to get the names and contact information of students who did not sign an opt out form, which tells your high school not to give your information to recruiters. Now Chancellor Klein is making life easy for the recruiters. He has told high schools to send the names and contact info of all juniors and seniors who did not opt out to his office. He plans to give his vast master list of your names to all branches of the military. Why is Chancellor Klein doing this? Did you know about the new policy? Do you know about opting out?
